Last Saturday I went to my favorite DHALO area that's stocked with rainbows and has some wild brown trout in it ,low and behold the Fish Comm dumped those stupid yellow fish in there for the first time, 😭 😭 😭

Was there a circle of people standing around the yellow fish casting at them? In my opinion palominos/goldens do a few things: 1) they concentrate pressure because people see them and fish for them. 2) they tell you where there are many more trout that you don't see because they act as tracers. 3) due to people standing around chucking **** at the palomino, they free up a lot more water because your average Joe is obsessed with the dang bright yellow things. #1 and #3 are pretty similar, but you know.
I despise them.

Thus every one you catch should be creeled. You take the "tracer" out of the pool and most guys throw 3 or 4 casts and move on. If they see the tracer they will stay and continue hammering the hole catching other fish that otherwise would have been unmolested. Kill a palamino and save a dozen other fish.

What's the problem with stocking palaminos? They're just a color variant of rainbow trout. It's just another type of hatchery trout.
What’s the difference between those fascinated over a rainbow, brookie, brown or a palamino? I spent the other day casting to carp for hours because I could see them. If I saw a palomino and it wasn’t to crowded I would have casted to it as well and I would have enjoyed every second of it. Being average has its benefits.

The majority of the guys will absolutely go nuts trying to catch those things. It’s the highlight of their trip.

People just love to complain.
There's no problem; I just don't like them. I like natural stuff and natural things. They aren't natural.
The state stocks golden rainbows; the people love them. I understand why they do it.
Hatchery rainbows aren't natural either.

Very true, but palminos sorta take the unnatural element and rub it in your face.

I release almost all the trout I catch but often remove Golden Rainbows as a public service. A lot of times they clog up good areas that hold other fish by mesmerizing other anglers who then grow roots.They do color up nicely in the smoker though.

I still remember my first encounter in the days before I was a fly fisherman. I was in high school and it was Opening Day on an unfamiliar creek and knowing me, I was probably fishing salmon eggs.
I came up on a pool surrounded by half the fishermen on the creek all throwing whatever they had at three Palominos swimming around in a frenzy. Not knowing any better, I stopped, watched, waited, then looked in my little two sided Plano box of lures. Figuring the fish already saw the entire inventory of Mepps, CP Swing, and Uncle Josh; I decided to knot on a yellow marabou crappie jig...
In about six casts I landed & released two of the Palominos and another rainbow and soon I was surrounded by half the fishermen on the creek all trying to figure out what I was using...
I kept my "secret lure" to myself that day but ever since, there are ALWAYS yellow (and other color) marabou crappie jigs in my spin fishing kits although white has become my new favorite.
The last time I saw Palominos was a decade or two ago at the Little Lehigh lower FFO stretch (Section 08) and on a Class A section with an adjacent stocked sections...
I just ignored them because NOW I know better and I didn't have any yellow marabou crappie jigs. 😉

My theory is I usually have this place to myself, people come throw in don't catch anything and leave, with these things showing themselves people will see them and try harder,more,spend more time there etc etc, I guess the tranquility and peace and quiet i get will soon be lost,that's just my GREEDY OPINION

As a former pfbc fish culturist 1. I can tell you 99 pct of the people on stocking runs almost always how many golden rainbows on the truck...and can you put them in in my bucket that im carrying lol. Sometimes if it was a young kid i would make certain i handed him a bucket with one in it....the adults were mad sometimes lol
I'd rather catch wild browns and brookies than stockie bows, but I'd rather catch stockie bows than goldens.

Don't know if it's so, but I've been told that palominos turn green if they hold over long enough.
