Myself an idratherbephishin, fished above the Appalachian trail parking lot. Water was low an gin clear (as always). Water temp 54-56. Seen plenty of fish, very spooky this time of the year. Fished a burnt orange #20 foam ant. John fished a caddis dry with a foam ant dropper. No looks for either of us, no rising fish at all. Which I found strange, cause yesterday they where rising all over. We both fished threw a little bit of are arsenal with still no takers. He left me about 7ish. As soon as henwas out of sight I swing a bugger threw the tail end of a nice tail of a ripple that led into a nice pool. Bugger hits the end of the riffle an a nice brown deystroys it. I wasnet expecting it so I never set the hook. Needless to say I took a few more casts at him, just to watch him let the bugger pass. After that I hung my head in shame an hiked back to the van. Skunked now two days in a row, I can't remember the last time that happened. Confidence is shot 🙁

Phish, sorry you had such a tough outing today. I was on Clark's FFO this afternoon from 1-2:30 downstream of the gun range by a few hundred yards. Found a nice section in front of some deadfalls and had a dozen or more sporadic sippers across and down from me. I was able to land half that number using a 20 and 22 Griffiths Gnat on 7x. As you said, water was real low, slow, and crystal clear. Fish were super spooky and if you waded it put them down for several minutes at a time as the ripples fanned out. I only make it to Clark's a couple of times a year, don't know it very well, but it really is a great setting for some solitude and job forgetting. Hope your luck turns soon.

Spent this evening on Clarks. First time in awhile I landed 10+ fish. Using my special inch worm I managed to fool them and had a great time.

Makes me feel like I don't know what Iam doing when people say they are catching fish and Iam not. Oh well back to the drawing board.

I've fished this stream so many times over the years and have walked back to my car ready to snap the #*@#^ out of my rod. And the stream on the other side of the mountain. I'm not special just found good conditions.

The temps this morning left me know that it will soon be safe to fish the Tower City end and I smiled a bit. It'll be nice to fish home waters again. The stupid Letort has me feeling like a crappy fisherman. Maybe I'll even drive the extra 10 minutes and chance running into one of you guys. 🙂

I will prolly be out again Monday after work, around 4ish. I have a score to settle with the brownie I missed. An a score to settle with myself, gotta rebuild the confidence. An nothin better to restore confidence then with a few clark's wild browns.

Hmm I might give it a shot around that time, too. Some interesting weather lately, there's a chance that conditions will be alright!

I've yet to catch anything on an inchworm, George. That day they were coming down on Manada should've done it, but no takes! Clarks will definitely get the treatment soon

Water might be a little off colored for tomorrow with these sporadic storms. I think I might try to get up early and head up there.

I fished this two weekends ago with a friend and the biologists were shocking upstream from the app. trail. The one guy I was talking to said they had very high expectations.
