Myself an idratherbephishin, fished above the Appalachian trail parking lot. Water was low an gin clear (as always). Water temp 54-56. Seen plenty of fish, very spooky this time of the year. Fished a burnt orange #20 foam ant. John fished a caddis dry with a foam ant dropper. No looks for either of us, no rising fish at all. Which I found strange, cause yesterday they where rising all over. We both fished threw a little bit of are arsenal with still no takers. He left me about 7ish. As soon as henwas out of sight I swing a bugger threw the tail end of a nice tail of a ripple that led into a nice pool. Bugger hits the end of the riffle an a nice brown deystroys it. I wasnet expecting it so I never set the hook. Needless to say I took a few more casts at him, just to watch him let the bugger pass. After that I hung my head in shame an hiked back to the van. Skunked now two days in a row, I can't remember the last time that happened. Confidence is shot 🙁
