Hi Everyone,

I decided to give some hollow tied buck tail a few goes this weekend. However, when they dry, they are still splayed out and do not have the flow I see online of the completed product. The first 2 pictures are after drying and the third is the profile of the fly when it is wet, right before I hang it to dry. Any advice would be appreciated!

try wetting the tip of the fly and then insert a short piece of drinking straw over the head of the fly and let dry a day or 2. remove the straw and the bucktail should lay back

or

pull the bucktail back and then coat them with some uv resin

i think its a feather bender tying tip
