Been on the board a few weeks but haven't posted. Live north of baltimore and started fly fishing about a month ago after encouragement from @bdhoover77 .

Mostly fish around where we live but have made it up to PA 3 times in the last month. Looking forward to learning more about central and southern PA fishing.

Have ever fished the Gunpowder?
 
We fish the gunpowder quite often, but as you may know the flow is terrible and its difficult fishing. Usually 3-4 fish above 6 inches is a great day
 
It's an easy drive-assuming no accident on the rt83 bridge - to central PA. The extra miles are worth better FF. I've made a few one day trips to BLT when my kid went to school there.
The post makes me want an Altman's sandwich and Joe Benny meatballs.

It actually been fishing pretty well the last week or so.

I've been fishing the GP for thirty years, and have seldom had any problems catching when the flow is at 30 cfs. (I've had several days with more that 40 fish at that flow.)

Can definitely still catch fish and have had plenty of luck in the last ~2 weeks, I would just say its tougher fishing than most trout water
