Hello,

I used to frequent this site before the apparent change and everyone knew me as Sal. I have since reduced my online time and have been more and more dedicating my life to the Church. I currently have not had much time for fishing the past few years. Family life, Church life, Deaconate work & purchasing and renovating a new home have taken a large portion of my time. I absolutely love the deaconate ministry and helping those in my church that are suffering by administering Christs mercy to them. Its a blessing to both myself and them and it far surpasses fishing time on the water.

My church currently has 4 or 5 fly fisherman in its ranks and we have discussed going out together. I have floated around an idea of a group that could meet in the Spring/Summer & Fall, fish together and contemplate the creation of God through our time together with the Scriptures and fishing. I have also floated around the idea of opening it up to those outside our own church but in the universal Church. It would be a great grace to share time on the water with brothers in Christ.
I wont be posting here much, if at all. I just don't have the time, but if this group gets started up next year, I will post it in the Meet ups and Events section of the forum as and open invite.

I've been been doing well and haven't forgot many of you. I pray and trust the Lord has been gracious to you all whether by blessing and trial, tears and joy, pain and comfort or all of them combined - He is an awesome God.

Amen Brother. I received Christ as Savior in February 1994 when I was in the darkest hours of treatment for cancer. My surgeons only gave me a 50% survival rate. Thirty-one years later & only by God's Grace I'm living testimony of His healing power.

We're going to have a problem here.
