Your top 5 go to flys for creek and river smallies

Dear Board,

Cylindrical foam popper- foam glued to a hook with a deer hair or hackle tail and hackle collar before the tail

Clouser Minnow

Wooly Bugger

Lefty's Cactus Fly

If they don't work a floating Rapala, Heddon Torpedo, Zara Spook or tube jig will salve my soul.

Regards,

Tim Murphy 🙂

Stonecat looks like a stimmy on acid. 3 and 4 are black wooly buggers. Not sure why but I just have not had a ton of success with a Clouser on smallies. I've caught a lot of other fish, salt and fresh on em but its weird. I even keep trying them. I want them to work. I like how much variety there is on favorites.

This is the most fun one imo. I tied a few up for the beaverhead ten or so years ago when the browns were being extra grabby. They work best if you add crude insults to the body with a sharpie. 'F*CK YOU!' got the most interest.

Clouser X 5

1. Gray over white
2. Blue over white
3. Brown, olive, over white
4. Chartreuse over yellow
5. All yellow
