Got away for a quick day of fishing in North Central PA on Labor Day. Nice cool weather in the upper 70 s. Cooling nights, lots of wildlife moving about (deer, turkey, bear). Karen and I hit one of our favorite stretches on Young Woman's Creek. She always does well there. The low water made things tough, but the rain that came through overnight helped. You had to go to 6x and small flies (size 22 midge and Adams patterns) to a few brookies, rainbows and one tiny wild brown. It is good to see the trout made it through the hottest time of the year.
