Got kinda got duped today.
I was looking at the projection for the Yough today and it was 960 cfs. Looked at the USGS current flow and it was 1400 at 9am. (kinda the max I like to fish) And it was dropping like a stone so I figured hey I might be good day. Forecast was partly sunny and 47.
Fished from 1:30 to about 4pm. Water ended up being way higher when I got there. Musta caught the lowest reading this morning before my interview. It was in Irwin and on the way!
Anyways- water was really only fishable in a few places. Water was 39-40 and off color. Air temp got to 50.
Fished junk flies and did well with smallish rainbow stockers and caught a nice brown in the shallows where 2 spins guys kept casting well out beyond him.
