Fished from about 6 pm til dusk near Dawson. Water was low, clear and warm, near 80 degrees. There were thunderstorms around and it was quite breezy at times. Considering the dew points, wet wading with a steady breeze was actually refreshing. Caught 13 in all. No real size.. biggest was maybe 14 inches. Most on top with a white pencil popper. A couple on a Shenk's Minnow.
Fishing was fairly slow until about 8 pm when I caught 8 in the final 45 minutes in slower water and back channel. Fish were found in riffles and deeper runs, especially near structure, (unfortunately structure in this part of the river includes tires, shopping carts, and washing machines) until near dark when the slow water bite came on.
Great night on the river. Rain held off. Had the water to myself, save one raft, probably because of the storms earlier.
