Was planning on hitting a more secluded stream, but with the chance of rain and not being able to make it out til afternoon, I decided to go to the closest, easy access stream. I'm surprised no one else posted a stream report. There were about 20 cars in the lot when I got there in the afternoon. Weather was great, around 60+, water was very clear, and levels were up from winter and around normal or a little under for there. There were a ton of small white midge looking flies, around size 22, and I saw 2-3 larger flies. Only saw 3 fish rise the whole day, all in different holes. I tight lined nymped with a beadhead PT under a small bright orange egg as an indicator. I had 5 strikes, all on the PT, 4 hooks ups (3 browns and a rainbow) and landed 3 (2 browns and the bow) in about 45 minutes over a couple hundred foot stretch of water. It then started to rain on and off and I only got one more bite over the next 2 hours. It might have been the rain, might have been the fact that Every section of stream I got to, someone had just been through. Regaurdless I had a nice warm day on the water and caught a few trout, and it was pretty exciting while the fishing was hot. The rain got heavier and I continued to fish for about an hour, but left after not getting a bump for a while. Talked to several nice gentlemen both in the parking lot and on the stream. Apparently the fishing was a lot hotter that morning. I fished BWO emergers, wooly bugger, moto minnow, prince nymph, and midge once the fishing down but didn't have luck with any of those patterns despite the large quantity of small midge flies.

Mine was one of the many cars in the lot. I was the third car to arrive in the morning. I picked up close to a dozen on a size 10 Walt's Worm including a nice brown of decent size. As said, plenty of midges around but very few risers.

Nice day to be out among the crowds.

I heard the morning crowd was even bigger. I think by the time I got there it was fished pretty thoroughly. Sounds like you had a good day, the fish are definitely becoming more active.

My cousin was over that day. He said he caught 8. I can't remember on what though.

Friends buddy caught close 30 I guessed, was one of the first ones in for the morning. I am guessing if the rain hadn't started I could have caught near 10.
