A very good day on Yellow Creek. We took our time on the way out and ended up talking with Fred Sherlock in the lot for a half hour before making our first cast. Fred continues to astound me. He's a champion for the common man, and he's one of those guys who gets featured as a conservation hero in Field and Stream. Everyone who fishes the Yellow FFO owes him a debt of gratitude.

Anyway... picked up a plump brown on a #18 olive beadhead and hooked another on a #16 Prince in the pockets. Around 2:30 the surface came alive. My buddy brought three to hand on a #18 BWO in 15 minutes time. I picked up a couple more with a #16. Trout were rising to cream midges also during that short window. This is the earliest I've ever caught them on dries. Good times.

Glad you had a nice outing. I had takes on dries last week, but I was unable to bring a fish to hand on a dry.

You didn't catch the same fat brown AcristicKid landed last week did you?
