I had the opportunity to meet and fish with AcristicKid today. We also ran into DryFlyGuy on the stream today and had chance to visit with him for a while (he really does use only dries). Almost a mini-jam today.

The air and water temps were in the mid forties. The water had a little color to it (mostly green) and there was ample flow (as there should be in March). We did pretty well with nymphs early. Around noon we started seeing some early black stoneflies comming off, but the rises were only sporadic. I picked up a couple fish on streamers through the afternoon. Later in the afternoon fish began rising to the stones as well as BWOs. AcristicKid and I each had takes on drys but neither of us were able to land one on a dry today. DryFlyGuy did land a few on dries. I believe a good time was had by all.

Here are a couple pics of a nice brown AcristicKid landed early in the day.

Yes, nice to meet Albatross and dryflyguy. Everyone had a good time and sure seems like spring is getting serious about making a comeback.

My day was complete about an hour after we started with the brown. I attached some pictures of Albatross bringing them in.

Nice meeting you guys also. Hopefully, we'll have some better conditions next time.
Just checked the USGS - yellow creek rose about 6 inches last night. Guess it'll be awhile before it gets good.
