Even though the Yellow Breeches is with minutes of my house, I do not fish it that much. A couple of times a year for a specific hatch is about it.
Hit the stream at 6:15 to try to catch the trico hatch. Nothing happening initially, but around 6:45 - 7:00 the hatch began and lasted for about one hour. Not a heavy hatch at all, but what was present, the trout were locked on.
Found that a size 26 spinner on a 8x tippet worked the best - all that I landed were browns in the 10-12" range.
All in all, a good morning. Tough to handle 8x tipped and sz 26 flies before a cup of coffee, though!
