Had several hours on YB this morning starting at first light. My first time there, but water seemed murky given the recent rain. Kayaker (lots of those) told me the water was deeper than usual; flow was pretty good in the fishy spots. While I didn't have a temp gauge on me, would guess it was upper 50s or low 60s in the morning. Expect it will get to mid or upper 60s today and certainly over the next couple days with the continuing heat.
Started with a black streamer and hooked up with a few nice fish, multiple on the swing. Switched to nymphing around 10am with a sz 20 prince nymph on top and a hare's ear flashback on point. Eventually lost the hare's ear to a snag and switched to a random green/brown nymph with attractor/flash.
All told 6 rainbows, 4 browns, 2 fall fish, multiple misses or losses. Nice water, looking forward to exploring other areas.
