Fished the Breeches from around 8:00 AM til around 11:00 AM.
Air temperature was in the mid to upper 70s, did not have a stream thermometer, but water was mostly clear considering the overnight rain.
Fish were definitely rising. Some very actively emerging completely from the water. They slowed up as the morning wore on to only very intermittently toward 10:30 or so.
Mostly dry fly fished. Elk Hair Caddis was hit or miss, tied on a Cahill and didn't have much luck. Landed a brown trout with a BWO #18 but lost him as he got to the net. Nice size fish too.
All in all missed on a few, not a bad day on the water trying to figure the fish out.
FWIW, There were a few guys fishing about 50 yards or so downstream from me using worms and PowerBait, and they weren't having much luck either. Fish were picky today.
