Air temp 53*
Intermittent rain and drizzle
Midges and a few sulphurs fighting through the drops.

I fished from about 4pm to 7pm mostly in and around the Run in rainy weather and had the area mostly to myself - translation - only guy dumb enough to be out getting soaked. But I had a crappy day at work and no evening plans plus was as prepared as i could be for the weather.

Second cast yielded a nice hook jawed Brookie of 12". He first hit my indicator then took my trailing flashback PT size 16. Next hole yielded a feisty brown of similar size on a sexy bh walts worm that was my anchor fly. I promptly snagged and lost that rig on an errant hook set to an overhead limb. Having seen a few splashy risers, I switched to a bushy EHC with a hotspot nymph dropper. Next hole I hooked a fish and was exciited to hit the trifecta when a nice 14" rainbow tail walked across the run.

Not a bad way to wash away a crappy day at work! Several other Browns came to hand, shook off, or teased me with late refusals, keeping me there longer than I planned. I left before any spinner fall but the rain was beating back the numbers.
