Fished the Breeches under the bridge at the intersection of Leidhigh Drive and Kuhn Rd from about 6 - 8:00 pm. Water was pretty cold and the current was a little strong, still a little off colored as well. A midge hatch occurred for about an hour which led to many rises. Couldn't really tell what they were feeding on but it was tiny. Tried a tiny trico I had but no luck. A few caddis were coming off too, hooked one with a #14 elk hair caddis but he got off before I could land him. Caught and released 3 brooks and 4 browns using a #16 copper john and #16 pheasant tail nymph dropper rig, but most were hitting the pheasant tail. Missed a bunch too. Overall a fun night of fishing.
