Where: upper breeches
When: 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm
Air temp: 65-70
Water temp: upper 40s
Bugs: lots of midges and little brown stone flies.
After fishing spring creek in Harrisburg with JFigz, I headed over to the upper breeches for a short time. I was hoping to catch some sort of hatch. I did see a lot of little brown stoneflies and midges but no risers.
Water levels were very high, ( over the banks in some cases), and pushy. I found this to actually be advantageous as water clarity still permitttd decent fishing.
I was able to nymph half a dozen wild browns in a short time on a # 14 flashback PT.
I your lucky enough to have off tomorrow, I would get out there and hit a hatch. Conditions should be ideal.
** note: lower breeches is still probably unfishable.
