I decided to venture out to south central PA yesterday, I typically really don't fish out that way. Usually I stick to SE, NE and central PA. With the forecast being as nice as it was, I thought that the spring influenced creeks might be a good bet for trout fishing. I've only fished the Yellow Breeches once before, and I didn't have a ton of success aside from some smaller wild browns.
Weather: Low 50s, fairly windy in the morning/early afternoon
Water: 200ish CFS, mid 40F was my estimate for water temp.
I fished up stream of Boiling Springs from about 1130AM until about 4PM. The day started out slow, but around 130PM action picked up considerably. I managed to catch 6 holdover rainbows, that were pretty aggressive. The largest of the 6 was about 19-20", caught on a pink crystal meth egg fly pattern. The other fish ranged from 12" to 17".
Missed a couple subtle eats as well. Some intermittent rises, but not a ton of bug activity.
