Went to the Breeches at Allenberry yesterday from around 330 'till 645. Thought is was gonna be a bust ‘cause the water was off color from some work being done on a dam up stream. They didn’t want any dries and couldn’t hook up with wets either. But thank you (again) Mr. Shenk your white minnow saved the day, caught over a dozen nice browns in the riffs below the dam. I would much rather fish drys or nymph/wets so kept hoping the water would clear. Finally around 6 a hatch of midges started to bring some trout to the surface and I managed a couple more browns on a Trico.
Only saw one other guy on the stream.
Great fish!
