Yellow Breeches looked really nice today - perfect flow, 57 degrees F. I was outside the special reg section upstream from Boiling Springs. There was quite a bit of insect activity: cream caddis and a some craneflies too. When I saw the bugs I figured it would be an easy afternoon but I judged wrong. I didn't see a single fish rise. Swinging soft hackle wets got one decent rainbow but the fish simply were not on the feed. While this section is heavily pressured by bait guys I can't imagine it is completely fished out but there just didn't seem to be many fish. Great day to be outside though.
