Water: Good flow, kind of tea colored, patchy ice on the creek (I was surprised at how much in some areas but not nearly covering all the creek), about 37 degrees.
Hatches and Patterns: Saw some tiny midges flying around, no bwo's today (a little cold for them). While there will be some midges hatching, surface activity will be very spotty until a slight warm up. Unless you see fish actively rising, stick with small pheasant tails and zebra midges. Trout are spooky so watch your wading and as long as you stay sub-surface for the most part you should be good.
