Fished from around 11:30a til 7:15P The afternoon was spent fishing the upper breeches along Pine Rd with Dave Weaver. We fished, we lunched, we got ate by skeeters. Caught a few, no bugs to speak of, slow afternoon. After Dave Left I got my lounge chair out and napped for an hour til 4:30.

Then I went downstream, above the C&R area a bit and got destroyed by skeeters there. It was bad. However I say one of the most prolific Iso hatch that I've seen in years. Not a rise, not a fish. weird.

Got the hell outta there and went to creek road and was met with egg laying stoneflys (giants black or goldens) lots of them too. but no top action. A few yellow cahills too. Picked up a few more nymphing the riffles.

Good mix of small wild browns and colorful stocked brown trout. a few rainbows too. Crowds were surprisingly light for a weekend. of course it was the opener of Bass season. if that means anything.

Fun day, thanks for the grub David.

Nice! Glad you had fun. GG

The skeeters are bad again. I was hopeful for a better year than last year, but I think it’s worse.
