Took the new knee out for a trial run at Allenberry and although it wore me out it was a great to get back on the water. Fished from 1000 until around noon, water was in great shape. The Trico hatch was over but they were rising sporadically to caddis. Been tying a lot of small stuff for the last couple weeks so I put on # 16 tan caddis and a variety of midges, behind it. In the end I only brought three nice browns to hand with a bunch of misses and refusals. Again, it was still great to be able to get back on the water.
Edit, stopped at the fly shop wanted to look at Hardy 9' for #4 weight streamflex but they don't sell them any more. Tried to spend some money on tying supplies but they were low or out of most everything I needed. Biggie, Did see how they do their green weenies so I will tie some up for you.
