Fished the Allenberry section, from11:00 till 3:00, not the best time of the day to be fishing. No water temp, thermometer left in car, good flow, just a little color, no bugs at that time.

Started off with a crowe beetle with no luck and few misses, switch to the orange ant and the action started. Landed 8or9 with plenty of misses. All fish were caught with the orange ant WMD!

I watched a guy fishing ahead of me and for two hours, he never moved, just stayed in the same hole, and then he watched me land four fish and guess what, in ten minutes he was right beside me 🙂

I wanted to fish longer but lost my tippet and fly in a tree and for the life of me couldn't tie on another one, where are Maurice and Dan when you need them.

I want to get over there early in the AM, soon to see if there are any trioc's yet.

Sounds like a good day - glad to see you're out on the water Paul.

Trout beware! 🙂

Paul,

The day I met Dan at the breeches 2 weeks ago I caught probably 5 fish before we left the breeches, all on the orange WMD ant!

Glad you got out.

I can get out sunday for awhile if you want. As long as Lucy doesnt have her puppies.
Did I tell you about that?
Good to see you getting some more lengthy time on the water.

There's gonna be a lot of holes along trout streams in a year or two. 🙂
