Hit the FFO section today from 12:30 till about 6. Started out with a little entertainment in the run to get warmed up. At least 6 guys fishing the run. Caught a few with the Duple worm. Moved down to the real creek to find no other fisherman in sight. Fished down through the fast water to the deeper water. Used a Duple worm and an olive caddis pupae as the dropper. Both caught some fish. Then moved down to Allenberry (below the dam). Only saw one fisherman in the entire section. Action was good there too with the worm and the pupae as both flies worked. The water level is perfect, but if we don't get some rain soon, it's going to be low. Didn't get a water temp, but it is warming up fast.

Forgot to mention only saw a couple of risers. A few tan caddis in the air.

Google failed me. Tried to search duple worm and the only fishing related thing that came back was this post!! I too, am curious what that is...some type of san juan variant??

His name is spelled Don Douple.

Don calls these flies Greenie Worms or just Greenies or Inchworms. Some people have been calling them Douple Bugs.

They've also been called Sinking Inchworms, and that name was used as far back as the 1970s I think.
