Yellow Breeches, Cumberland Co., 4/7/2016

Fished the Breeches from about 1-4 pm. It would sprinkle one minute and the sun would shine the next. But, I managed to catch 7 and hooked into about another 5. 3 browns, 2 bows, and 2 brookies. Most were caught on a sz 12 prince nymph, walts worm, and pink SJW. Water temp was around 55-57 degrees and I did notice some Hendricksons and some BWO's. Not too many fish rising, but managed to catch one of the browns on sz 16 bwo dry. Also, there was quite a good bit of anglers out, probably with the bad weather coming. Overall just a great day to be out.

Today (the 9th) YB treated me rough - had to work hard for a couple small wild browns. This was in the upper ATW. Blustery weather with snow in the forecast, which didn't materialize, may have spooked away some anglers. Nevertheless, it was crowded in the popular areas, but where I was fishing I had the creek to myself. No bugs or surface activity today.

I was out in the C&R area today and caught a few on nymphs. It was pretty chilly and windy but it was a treat fishing in those little snow squalls.
