Your humble mods need to get out fishing too and so we hit Breeches yesterday having a great time.

WEATHER: Overcast turning partly sunny with mild air temps.

WATER: Clear, about 150cfs, 41 degrees. Some anglers out and about, but I'd describe pressure as light for such nice weather on a weekend. No significant hatch activity but we did find a group of sipping fish in some flat water. They were probably taking emerging midges - there were some clouds of midges here and there - large and dark colored. I expected to see some early stones, but didn't.

Overall, the trout cooperated with probably two dozen fish coming to hand between the three of us and a fair number more were hooked. Afishinado caught the most, as usual. Most were small wild BTs but several good sized stockies showed up to play and I got a nicely colored 16" BT. Many wild BTs in the riffles - no need to fish deep.

All fish caught fell for small nymphs fished dead drift. A great day to be out.

oh that last one was a cracker !

I'm pretty sure I drove past the three of you on my way home. It was definitely a good day to be out.

It's been many years since I last fished the Breeches. When the weather gets warmer I would like to my wife there. She may fish or just sit and watch. Where would an easy access point be for her?
