WEATHER: Nice day with highs in the mid 50s and lots of people out jogging etc. Partly cloudy turning cloudy with a breeze; heavy snowmelt.

WATER: 625cfs, nice green with light stain, 45 degrees F.

HATCHES: Saw a couple brown stones and midges were out here and there. Saw a few sporadic rises to midges but not enough to get me to come up off the bottom.

Hit Breeches for a couple hours at mid-day today. Heavy fishing pressure - at least by weekday in winter standards - with lots of boot prints in snow. The first parking lot I arrived at had so many cars I opted to head elsewhere. Nymphed hard and managed several fish, mostly small wilds. Spin guys were having some luck and stockies on stringers could be seen. I was surprised to get a relatively warm water temp of 45 with the snowmelt and recent cold weather.
One fish ate a scud and the rest liked a zebra midge.

Nice day to be out - felt like spring.

Nice report Dave. cheers to a good day of fishin.
