What a great day! Hopefully, you were able to get outside too.
I drove up to YB and spent the afternoon looking around and taking photos. Fished for about an hour. Here's what's up:
WEATHER: Very nice with air temps in the mid 50s, mostly sunny, no wind.
WATER: Clear with an average flow for early winter. 49 degrees (confirmed with thermometer). Crowded with anglers in all the usual spots.
HATCHES etc: Midges in the air widespread - even saw some little black stones (this is about a month early to see them in my experience). No visible feeding activity - didn't see a single rise.
Everybody was out enjoying the great weather this Saturday with heavy fishing pressure. I got the last parking space at The Run and folks were lining the wall of Children's Lake; kids had trout on stringers. It was glorious.
Linked up with a buddy on upper YB but fishing was tough. Between the two of us we managed several fish nymphing (all wild, no stockies) but the fish were not as active as I would have expected.
