WATER: 170cfs and 53 degrees F (confirmed by thermometer). Very clear with some leafy debris.
WEATHER: Fifty-something, light rain.
HATCHES: Sporadic caddis.
Breeches is in fine shape and recent rains have improved levels on many trout streams in SCPA (although the freestoners are still quite low). Had some luck on nymphs and got one on a streamer but fishing was slow until I came upon a long flat pool with some sipping fish. A #16 tan elk hair caddis proved the trick and a mix of stocked and wild fish came to hand. Although lower than summer, fishing pressure remains high on YB (this is not unusual) with cars at most of the predictable spots.
