Yellow Breeches Creek, Cumberland Co., 6/21/2016

When: 7:30-10pm

Where: At the bottom of the c&r section.

Weather: Clear, mid-upper 70's, very slight breeze, comfortable

Water: Pretty clear, good level(actually a bit low), didn't get temp reading.

Hatch: Saw some caddis and a good bit of light cahills.

Fish/Flies: Black ant=1 fish, tan elk hair caddis=2 fish, light cahill dun=3 fish.

Overall: Arrived at allenberry around 7:15 to find the stream packed with the rivers camp kids(forgot about that). So, I headed downstream to the very end of the special reg section. Saw some fish initially taking terrestrials so I put an ant on and caught 1 quickly and missed a few others. Then once they started refusing it I put on a sz16 tan caddis and caught 2 and missed a few. Then I noticed a good amount of cahills coming off and threw on a dun. Caught 3 nice ones and missed a half dozen. Fished until around 10 and called it. Great night out and I was glad to see the kids catching fish too.

Water temps in the reg section have been pretty good when I checked over the weekend (mid 60s in the afternoon).

We got pummeled with rain yesterday here in Adams Co but the storm tracked just south of the YB watershed and I'm glad it did on account of the youth camp. I'll be up volunteering with the camp tomorrow and I'll follow up on conditions if I see anything significant..

Water temp at Allenberry was 62 at dawn this morning.

Have it on good authority that temps have been getting up to 70 by afternoon. Going forth, I'd mainly hit that section of YB early or late.

Tomorrow is the last day of the youth camp.

Yeah, during the summer I don't fish it past 9ish am, and dont fish earlier than like 7:30pm. During midday I usually head to letort, big spring, or the run.
