Went out tonight with some high hopes of another great sulphur hatch. And I hit it with some luck.

Time:7-9:15pm

Where: Breeches between the dam and the run.

Weather: Beautiful with temps in the lower 70's to the mid-low 60's. Sunny.

Water: Pretty clear, perfect flow, mid-upper 50's.

Hatches: Good sulphur and tan caddis hatch. Also saw the usual midges. Fish were rising like crazy.

Fish Caught: 5 in total. 4 browns, 1 bow. Fish were between 10-14 inches. Most were caught on tan elk hair caddis and a sulphur parachute. Both were in sz 16.

Overall: Got there around 7 to find the stream packed. Managed to squeeze into a spot just upstream of the culvert pipe. Sulphurs were coming off heavy mixing in with some tan caddis until around 8:30 when there was an ok spinner fall. Like I said I caught 5 fish in total but I lost about a half dozen fish and missed at least a dozen, no joke. Fished until around 9:15 and I was very glad that I chose to go out last night. It was definitely a great night.

Someone lost a tan fly box Friday night. If anyone found and reads this forum please post that you found it. I too was at last Friday's angler madness. I stayed in the deep water and managed three. I walked upstream of the run and managed several more which made this night complete. I was using klinkhammer sulphur a with an orange egg sac.
