Decided to hit the breeches this evening in the hopes of hitting a good hatch. I fished from around 5:30-9pm. I decided to walk upstream of the dam to hit some of the slower pools. I ended up right in the middle between the dam and the run. There was about 4 other fishermen in that area too. So, I started off with a sulphur nymph with a caddis larva dropper. That yielded a few hits but nothing to the net. As it got a little later(7:15ish), I switched to a size 16 sulphur dry. I caught 2 nice browns on it. I saw sulphurs, caddis, midges, and some grey fox mixed in. There was a lot of fish rising at probably all of these which made the fishing a little tougher. The water was a little off colored but you could still see the bottom. The flow wasn't too bad and the level wasn't bad either. I forgot to read the temperature but my guess is somewhere in the low-mid 60's. Overall it was a great time out.

I fished below you in the deep water above the dam. Almost swamped my waders but the fish were rising and I was not going to be deterred!
Fished emergers and landed 5. Love the sulphur hatch 🙂

Cool. Yeah the hatch was pretty good. Hopefully it gets a little better though.

I fished the run early in the afternoon. Landed a brown on a small streamer. Fly shop seems nice. Lots of tying material there.
