Fished from 1pm-5pm water was clear and quite low, had two browns 14-16in , got them on tiny patridge and orange soft hackles in the end after trying many flies. No bug activity and about six people fishing 3 of which were spin fisherman , one dude caught 6!

I'll second the conditions that Atlantisboy described.
We fished it yesterday (Sun 21st). Water was surprisingly low and clear considering how much snow melt we've had around here in recent days. The water temp in the mainstem was 45 degrees. For a beautiful, warm sunny weekend day, there was surprisingly little fishing pressure, maybe 6 or 7 cars at The Run parking lot at noon. Several times during the day I could look hundreds of yards up and downstream and see no fishermen. Things did pick up and when we left at about 3:45 the number of fishermen had increased substantially and the lot was nearly full (I think a lot of the cars were dog walkers at Childrens' Lake). Anyway, we saw no surface feeding fish (and none below surface) despite a good number of midges around. I got a few fish: one on a streamer and the rest on small nymphs fished on light tippet. The fish were really laying low and I had to work hard for the few I caught. Nice day to be out. The local streams around here really look nice right now.

Dave, I think I walked past you Sunday afternoon on the path in the snow. I was the old guy with a beard and Richardson Box (alum.color) and I was smoking a cigar. I also fished all alone earlier below the dam. An olive bugger caught a few.

Yes, I remember. I was wearing a chest box with wooden front and salmon fly cut-out and was accompanied by another chap. I'm often disappointed when I discover here on PAFF that I crossed paths with another fellow paffer and didn't know it as I would have liked to chat and compare notes. This seems to happen a lot on the reg water at Breeches. Glad you had some luck. We found the fishing challenging.

Yes Paul I did try out the Helios and I have to say it was everything I hoped it would be, I was quite amazed at the difference it made in the accuracy and ease of casting. You can see what you think next time we get out.
