Fished the special regulations section today from 9 till 1500 with Paul. Water was low and clear. Saw lots of risers. Caught one brown and missed about ten of em using ants and beetles. Was really crowded though.

Although it was crowded we did find some room to fish. It was great helping you catch your first trout. Really dumb, two cameras no pics...next time!

Enfausn,
Great to hear you're enjoying the sport and catching fish. I was on the reg water at YB yesterday and we did very well.

A couple months ago there was some discussion on this board about a general lack of trout in the reg water of YB and I was one of those griping about the lack of fish. While I still believe that, as a general rule, the reg water in recent years has not held as many fish as in the past - I must say that what I saw yesterday was very encouraging. Lots of trout, mostly browns (quite a few brooks this year too) and many willing to take dries. It was like the good 'ole glory days of the 80s/90s.

I could swear a younger fellow posted that 900 were stocked after the Youth TU event there a couple weeks back.

I heard the same thing from a gentleman at the beach whose wife was helping out as an instructor with the event that week.

It is true, they did put in 900 fish for the Youth camp!
