I made a mistake and went to the Allenberry section yesterday. They are having that youth conservation group there, it will be there today also, so I would avoid going there today.

The water was in good shape clear, good level, wasn't able to take a temp. The young people were doing stream restoration, so the stream was muddy, didn't make for good fishing. Didn't fish long, did catch one fish. I did enjoy watching the work they were doing!

This is the Cumberland Valley TU Rivers Conservation and Youth Camp. I was up there this morning helping the kids with fishing. The kids mostly just fish in the early morning and evening. They're currently building a deflector at the picnic pavilion but if you are upstream it shouldn't be too messy. Water level is very good, 64 degrees at 6am this morning. The youth camp runs thru Friday afternoon.

I didn't see any, to much going on when I was there. The young people had the water muddy from the work they were doing.

I was told that they are there!

I'm hoping to drop by the YB first thing Monday morning. Anything in particular I might be seeing, tricos, any other hatch? Or switch right to terrestrials, and subsurface stuff?

I fished Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday along creek road and up to leidhigh drive. On Monday there was a trico hatch going on and I was able to get a few browns on a size 20 trico with 6x tippet from around 7:45 to 9 pm. I believe some other midges might have been coming off but they were too small for me to tell. The other two days I fished along there I was successful in catching fish on dries and terrestrials using a size 14 ant pattern, beetle pattern, size 14 royal wulff, size 12 royal coachman, all during the sunny afternoons. As always my basic nymph patterns worked as well including princes, pheasant tails, hares ears, and zebra midges, sizes 12 through 16. The bead head fluorescent chartreuse colored zebra midge with copper ribbing I've been tying has been extremely successful, most of the time I've fished that under another nymph in tandem and it has seen a lot of response from the fish.
