Left Big Spring Creek and headed over to "The Run" saw some trout including a huge Brookie some decent rainbows and browns but couldn't hook up they were hitting the surface at the out flow, but whatever it was, they were too small to see. The brookie broke the surface a couple times in the white water at below the outflow. Puzzles me how it can see the insects through those bubbles and raging torrent from below. I tried hanging my fly just above the surface after seeing a few trout come out of the water and one came up and missed. Today just wasn't my day. I was enthusiastic after my last outing a few days ago, maybe I'll hit some familiar water and have a really good outing next time.

Jakes, while we appreciate people posting stream reports, if all that is contained is a narration of where you were and how you did, it really should be posted in the Streams Location forum or the General Forum. I try to give latitude if any information of stream conditions, weather information or hatch or fly selection information is included. This one just barely made the cut. When posting a report here, try to think of what kind of information may be helpful to other anglers in understanding the conditions you fished under and what was happening on the stream (hatches or not). The purpose of the forum is to create a useful, searchable database for anglers to use in learning about a stream and investigating likely conditions presently or historically.
