Arrived at the Boiling Springs lot at 6:30AM. and after the stroms from Sat. the creek was chocolate and up some. Didn't take a water temp, but it was noticeably cooler than last week. Used black buggers at first, nothin. Then tied on a size 6 beadhead stonefly with two #6 splits and I was in the money. A couple brownies lost after a short battle and a couple brought to hand and one real nice colored up brown of 17". A few guys out fishing but no real pressure to speak of. Few risers, but some in the cold, clear, edge. Don't know what they were taking. Saw two big blue herons fighting it out for fishing rights at a good spot. Never saw them fighting before, I guess with the muddy water, good spots to see fish were hard to come by. Left at 1PM and the water was already starting to clear up, but more showers were on the way. BTW for anyone interested, there are still trout in the run, if that's your thing.
