I had a nice day out on the C&RFFO section of Yellow today, especially the first hour before the snow started melting. First thing in the morning they were taking a beadhead stonefly nymph for me. Later in the day the fish started rising to BWOs. I had a few rises and one hook-up on drys but was not able to land one on a dry today.

Flyman,

That rainbow is a palomino. I caught a rainbow about the same length and probably twice the girth. Couldn't get the camera to work for that one. It was a joy to be out there Friday!

I thought that it might be a palomino. It just doesn't have that banana yellow color. I was confused by the faint spots on it's lower sides. Back in the early seventys Pa Angler had some photos of palominos(they were the new thing then), some were yellow and some were yellow with normaly pigmented / spotted skin. Ramble, ramble, I think I need to go fishing!
