fished the creek from 5-8 thise evening. water was clear, I saw many small mayflies flying around. nymphed a nice pool for awhile with nothing but a small smallmouth. Moved up a bit into the riffle and caught a nice fish which stripped off 30 feet of line going downstream. after a 10 minute fight I released a beautiful 18" brown trout. Next cast 16" rainbow trout and fish was heavy! To nice bigger fish in a row, can't believe my luck. Then I got nice and soaked making sure the rainbow swam away happy. I moved to another spot and hooked a smaller rainbow and called it a night. Still thinking about that brown trout, what a fight, stripped more line then the 18" I caught on Valley.
