Got out on the creek for a couple hours this evening.
Water was very clear as it has been almost all season.
Caught a fiesty rainbow almost immedietly on the top nymph and hooked myself on the bottom nymph during the release, glad I crush the barbs on my flies!
caught a nice brown next.
Kept fishing and caught a rock bass and two sunnies.
I usually use hares ear nymphs on this creek if nothing is rising, I think they resemble the shrimp which are everywhere in the creek. Really enjoying nymphing of late. flip upstream and mend, double taper line really works good for this kind of fishing. saw many bugs hatching, some kind of mayfly. looked like an 18 adams would have done the job but no risers.
packed it in when it was to dark to see the indicator.
I feel fortunate to live so close to nice water.

Fished the Wiss as well on Saturday morning from like 7am to 2pm around Valley Green Inn. Had to put at least 20 fish to hand and lost several others. Started out swinging WBs by the bridge and hook 3 fish within 15 mins. Worked the bridge upstream to the Dam/falls. Was extremely successful with BWO biot nymph on the barbless tactical hooks. All the fish were super feisty and a lot took some nice runs. Had one brown that tail walked the surface for like 20ft. It was a beautiful day to be out.

Bummed to see some people keeping shorts but I guess they will all die over the summer in the Wiss anyway.
