Spent veterans day exploring some new areas yesterday afternoon. First up was a section of Wild Creek that an old timer told me about a few weeks back. Took some searching on maps and driving in circles for a few but in the end I found the access location I was told about. Beautiful little gem in the middle of nowhere and limited access due to private property but in the few holes I had access to I managed to get 5 or 6 wild browns all about the same size as the one pictured below.

On the way home I stopped by a section of Mud Run to see if anything was happening there. Another great gem here in the Poconos, but yesterday it got the better of me. Water was low and clear and while I enjoyed getting out I could not manage to find any willing trout. In the last hole as I was getting ready to give up for the afternoon, I managed to get a decent wild brookie. Made me smile after all the effort it took and ended my day with that fish.

Tight Lines !!

Streams that I'm not familiar with but nice report! It is always thrilling to explore new areas and find cool spots.

Thanks for the report and pictures, I'm jealous! I miss small stream fishing, can we have summer back please?

"Wild Creek and Mud Run" SHALL WE FISH BOTH?
Let's go to Mud Run and see if it starts clearing and if not go to Wild Creek and fight the rhododendron and currents.
