Fished White Clay Creek from noon until 4:00 on Sunday. Water was low and super clear with a few midges and black stone flys seen. Did not get a temp. Picked up 3 fish in the Delayed Harvest area. 2 on midges and one on a sucker spawn. As a first timer to the stream, met some great folks who were really nice to show a new guy around. Thanks Joe. Lots of people out. Seemed to be 2-3 folks in every hole. Look forward to getting back to the stream.

good to hear Lee.

I didn't make it out due to a cold, but hopefully I will next weekend.

low and super clear tends to be the default conditions there - it can be tough fishing so most folks I find are pretty friendly as the fish don't come easy despite being 'dumb' stockies.

the numbers will thin out in a few weeks, but expect to see 4-5 folks on that stretch each time. most people will share what flies they caught on I've found.

cheers

Real pretty stretch. It was a perfect diversion on a winter day. That section was pretty sheltered from the wind with the trees and the high banks on the trail side. The best part of the day was meeting some of the frequent fishers and how nice they were. Made my day. The trout were really picky. I believe many had "fly concussions".
