Fished the Middle Branch in the preserve. I was looking at a job near Kennett and just happened to have my gear on board. Fished a couple hours starting at 11:30. Hot and humid with mixed clouds and a light breeze. Water was clear and 68 (at 11:30), I probably won't fish this section again till fall unless we get some freakish cool weather and ample rainfall. Walked all the way down to the swimming hole since I knew someone would disturb it. Lady started throwing a stick for her dog just after I fished through. Caddis pupa and ant was all I needed, and though the fish weren't killing it I brought ten or so to hand and lost a few more. Not bad for mid day fishing under those conditions. I was hiking back to my truck at 1:30; happy to have had a nice, quiet (no other anglers seen) experience. Oh, not much bug activity and only one riser seen.

Checked it out today, they are on. Most have given up this time of year so it is a good time to get out on the stream. Plenty of risers in the evening but nothing I could encourage up top.

....fished one hole today, spent a few hours on it. A few risers, not as many as yesterday evening. Not sure what they are rising to, I would guess gnats/midges. I was not able to provoke anything up top though. I managed one 11 inch bow off a 16 flashback PT. Felt good as I am getting back into the swing of things. Didnt get a temp, my apologies.
