West Valley Creek DHALO-Chester County 5/22/13

Started fishing neat Boot Road hoping to find rising to sulphurs. This was my first time on this stream; not impressed. There were def. trout there but water is very slow. Lots of midge activity, and fish rising, but the fly barely moves in the water. Started flipping rocks; no signs of bug life. Certainly no sulphurs nymphs, but there wasnt anything. Very disappointed. I saw a few bass there were good size, and pan fish. Might be a decent warm water fishery.

Ive had fun on that section but it's not my go to stream. There are some nice runs and they put some nice fish in there but for the most part you're right.

There are def. nice fish in there. And the Midge activity was great. But its just really slow water, and the fish have a million years to examine a fly. Kind of a let down, IM was trying to find a decent sulphur hatch in the area.
