I fished the WB of the Perkiomen on 9/23 and caught (6)- 6"-10" browns and countless chubs and minnows. All on nymphs- pheasant tails and hares ears. Didn't see anyone until I was walking back to the car.
Fished French Creek at St. Peters village. Caught (2) 10" or 11" browns under the bridge. Caught a few more up thru the boulders. Didn't catch anything in the calm flat water further up stream. While waiting for my girlfriend to get back I fished the bridge and missed (2) nice fish under the bridge. The one was a rainbow. All fish caught on a hare's ear.
First time I've fished either stream. Both were fun to fish and added a little challenge with overhanging branches, high bankside weeds and varying stream currents to deal with. It seems to me fall fishing is going to be pretty good this year.
