If I have to go below 6x.... I go right to 12x!

Honestly, if you can't catch a picky / educated fish on 6x, something's wrong.

Picky and Educated sounds like my ex gf just like a fish I threw her back too lol.

Guys- Stick with the 5x. Heck, go to 4x. Fish don't care.

When I get refusals from big fish on 5, I go to 6. When I get refusals from 6, I go to 7. Not hard to figure out.

If you have a good reel/drag (I use the ross evolutions) you can go to your backing with 7x. I rarely break one off. But you need a very good drag.

That is my opinion on the deal. On the WB you have clear water, older, smarter fish.

Glad I took a look at that link JerseyGeorge as I never thought of mounting my trolling motor on the casting platform. I will try that this week. May actually make the purchase of the platform worth it. LOL! I actually do use it on ponds/lakes but have not used it on moving water. I have not fished the D with that boat when the water levels were up and wading was possible. I am sure it will come in handy then.

Thanks. You going to be out? Thought about bringing the pontoons, but decided to hoof it instead...

Bam,

You dont have to lie to these guys who you dont know. You dont even have a pontoon. Lying to your buddies is something different but guys you dont know there is no need to try and impress them. I guess your a member of the A-team now.

I'm not lying to, or trying to impress anyone...

I might not own one, but I have a couple I can borrow whenever I need to. Initially we were going to float, but decided not to take them at the last minute because the water was low and didn't want to take two vehicles.

bam,
Shame on you for bending the truth. 🙂 Kidding. If you're up there Fr or Sa, bring the boat. You're welcome to join me and Esopus Guy. Your turn to buy the beer though. 🙂
