West branch Octararo 10-19-09

I started around 11 am today at black road and worked my way down. I caught a bow in the first run i fish on a white BH wooly bugger. Then i worked my way down not catching fish for awhile. It wasnt until I reached the end off the FFO sec and turned around that I started catching fish again. I hooked into a albino trout(palmino) I hooked 6 fish total and landed 3. Taking them all on the buggers. The water was murky but didnt seem to be a problem.

The stream just received a fall stocking on 10-09-09

Oh yeah those are the first trout I caught in over three years.

What you caught was not an albino trout. It's a common misconception.

Thanks for the report. Me and a few buddies fish the Octorara almost weekly. I've never fished Black road nor did I know the Octorara intersected it there. Are you thinking Puseyville road because the FFO section ends just down from there.

Anyways good pics. I've caught a bunch of palominos in the Octorara they do love buggers.

I meant to say black rock RD I think that's what it is called. I couldnt find Puseyville RD and I fished the upper section before so I just decided to work my way down. I prefer fishing downstream any ways. I caught the palimino of a #18 Adams dry though.
